We met with our realtor and put an offer on a condo yesterday. It's a short sale, so it takes 4-8 weeks to determine if they will even accept our offer. I am not sure the circumstances as to why it is a short sale- obviously it is not a good situation for the seller, but it ends up being a great deal for us. So, we will see what happens over the next few months and if it all pans out.
In the meantime... next item of discussion will be paint colors and a new kitchen table. Our current one is a glass top and is not kid friendly. I can feel the creative juices flowing already....

Good luck with the short sale. We did the same and closed after almost 4 months. Be willing to be patient and you could end up with a great deal.

We found a great table and chair set on craigslist for 50 bucks...It was in perfect condition. So glad you guys will have a place you can put your "mark" on soon. :)
